I’m not going to let him drill
A rotten heart that beats”

It’s not the first time I write a blog, I experimented a few years ago with Tumblr. Although the goal was a little different, I wanted to compile small help tutorials about office automation and basic computing. You often find yourself in the situation of solving doubts or helping someone with a series of more or less stable tools and procedures, so to “scale” a little better, I had a blog where I collected such help pills. The disadvantage is that it required some maintenance, however, the good news is that this kind of content has proliferated in Youtube, so I rely on the efforts of other people and I spread it, by forwarding links.

I liked Tumblr as a blogging platform, more than any other I had tried, but really when I knew Medium, with its quality content, its simplicity, and that it did not include advertising, I was captivated. So I decided to use it to collect all the contents I had been writing in different digital media. This explains the variety of the topics, as well as the change of tone, some entries are from blogs of companies I have worked for, others are from projects, etc, etc,… I have tried to faithfully reflect this through notes on each entry. Their temporal reference helps to place a context of the relevance.

One of the things that I have found difficult to accept is that Medium does not allow altering the dates, an entry is published on a date and that is what it indicates. This, although initially conflicting with my idea of making a more or less reliable reproduction, has finally served me to move forward, assuming it as it is and even translate into English the whole blog. The value that each entry has will be its own, and the general style, or thread is not the time, but the content itself. That’s why the diffusion is more interesting than everything else.

It’s not that I’m a too prolific author, we are talking maybe about a couple of entries a year, usually related to technology, which makes them very ephemeral. However, I wanted to collect them in one place as a digital biography, and it is in this platform where I found a way to do it. Another reason to generate it is to see the own evolution, I read some things that I have written and it allows me to see how I have changed my mind. So much so, that I have the drafts of some entries “revisiting” some of my publications.

Finally, being of a personal nature, I can always introduce… other type of more particular contents. More related to tastes, interests and reflections far from the professional field.
